First things first, when getting yourself yoga clothing, consider your style. When you wear something that makes you feel gracious, you will be confident and will do your yoga well. There are no really specific yoga clothes but there are some things not to neglect. Your clothes, both the top and bottom should be very comfy. Don’t wear pants that have light colors to avoid your underpants being seen through your pants, darker bottoms are recommended.
Getting to a yoga class is not like when you are going to work or attending a special occasion. As usual simple is the best way to go. A tank top, one that is stretchy and it should long but not too long that you cannot move well in. It should be long enough to cover you up well so that your body doesn’t show when making different yoga positions.
The best fabric to go for is light fabric that will not tire you during your workout. Highly recommended pants for yoga are leggings owing to the fact that they are elastic and fit well. Pants are not really your only choice, you could go for shorts. If you like more freedom and when it is hot, you could opt for a nice pair of shorts for your yoga workout. The shorts however should be tight so as to ensure that it doesn’t flip over when you flip over.
Make sure to wear layers of clothing. You need your muscles warm so that when they stretch, they don’t hurt, so make sure to wear warm clothes on top of or underneath your yoga clothes to keep warm. When it gets hot, make sure to get rid of the many layers.
Yoga is a tough exercise and can be very intensive. It is expected that you will sweat a lot. Wear clothes whose fabric don’t absorb sweat easily. Some fabrics like cotton can take in a lot of sweat and doesn’t dry as easily. Those that wad off sweat easily are your best bet. How disgusting will you feel all sweaty leaving the session and maybe you wanted to go through somewhere before you get home.
In regards to women, your everyday bra is not suitable for tour workout. Sports are the best go to when working out, they are able to keep you sweat free. The feeling of your body bouncing can be uncomfortable, sports bras will give you enough support even when you are jumping up and down.
